One of the most deep and profound questions we can ask ourselves is what is our purpose in life.
If you have the answer to this question and your life is in balance then I salute you, as I find it a constant struggle. I’m constantly curious as to what I could be achieving or learning and if what I’m doing brings value.
This is one of the reasons I was drawn to reading the book by Hector Garcia & Francesc Miralles called Ikigai. The premise being “the happiness of always being busy.”
The book highlights the habits and methods of those, in Japan, who’ve lived a long and meaningful life and how you can incorporate many of these into your daily life.
Okinawa, Japan, has more centenaries than anywhere else in the world.
For those who didn’t know, me included, Blue Zones are the places in the world with the highest concentration of centenaries.
